I am way behind on this posting stuff and I really do apologize. It amazes me how time is flying. It really seems our time here is suddenly flashing by. It seems hard to believe it is the end of March already and I am just getting to blog about Christmas.
Christmas in Korea was pretty much like Christmas back home, except with a lot less family around. On Christmas Eve we went to Mass on Post. We attempted to see the Christmas Pageant the kids were performing but we were late and it was very short. We missed the whole thing by the time we got there. At least that made us very early for Mass itself. After Church we came home and prepared for Santa's arrival. We watched a movie in our jammies, got out the milk and cookies and started up the Santa tracker. Then we got the kids all snug in their beds.
I continued to track Santa and actually got to see him arrive in Seoul. Then he traveled back up to Russia and doubled back to Seoul. I guess when there are 14 million people in a city you have to hit it twice to make sure you got everyone! He hit our house for sure!!!
Christmas morning Giulianna woke us up and we all headed downstairs. The kids were excited by the pile of presents to open. They received a lot of really nice stuff from all of our friends and family. We always appreciate the extra effort it takes to mail presents to us.
After presents were opened Mike helped with some minor assembly and battery inputs while I made dinner. It just is int Christmas with out Lasagna, followed by a huge meal! That's how my Grandma did it and thats how I will continue to do it. However that much food would take an Army to eat it all so luckily we had company. The Hirsch family joined us along with their newest member Nick. It is nice having our "Korea Family" over for the holiday. Holidays are about family, friends and being together after all.
It was a great day overall and everyone slept very well that night. We had a truly Merry Christmas!
