We are going to travel back in time for this next post! Well actually all over time, and what has been going on with the kids since right before Christmas up until now.
Lets start with Rhyon. He has been growing by leaps and bounds. He has learned to jump and is starting to talk and sign. His signs are mostly "milk" and "more", and his words are "ball, bubble, Mama and pop". He is weighing in at 28.2 lbs these days and 34in length. He loves to dance as can been seen in the Christmas Tree post. Rhyon yells back at his sister now when she is mean to him and sometimes even fights back. Rhyon has also graduated into a big kid toddler bed. One night the kids were playing around when they were supposed to be in bed. All of a sudden we heard thud, which with these linoleum covered concrete floors is never good. Mike and I went dashing upstairs to find Rhyon lying on the floor, I thought I would be taking him to the ER for sure. Turns out he was fine, not even a bump. Giulianna had helped him out of the crib and the next day we switched the beds to prevent future accidents.
My timing with this picture was great as it was actually taken the last night Rhyon slept in his crib.
I see you!!!!
Rhyon's big boy bed!
Rhyon's modeling career has been interesting lately. He had another job on December 22 and for Elle Baby. The location was right near us about a 5 minute drive. We arrived in what used to be an old house that had been converted into a studio. Of course they were not ready for us when we arrived. We have learned to expect that. There were several other kids with us, Rhyon being the youngest. When we arrived he was very excited and definitely knew what he was there for. Unfortunately they didn't take him right away and did the big kids first. They only needed him for one outfit that day so they wanted to do him last. He had lots of playtime which was nice but by the time they wanted him he was pretty tired and only half cooperative. They were pretty happy though and got what they needed so I suppose it was a success.
Rhyon loved the silver dog which was the brands mascot.
He kept wanting to watch and get in on the action.
My friends daughter Ava.
Time for makeup.
He is semi compliant...
This little girl was so cute!
Some of the layout ideas they were using.
It's not all work and no play!!
Time for wardrobe.
Such cute little shoes.
This is also Ava, but they dressed her like a boy this time.
Rhyon all set to go. Look at that bow tie! Love it!!!!
Miss Sue blowing some bubbles to get Rhyon's attention for the camera, works like a charm.
Workin' it!
On the montior.
Lookin studly!
Rhyon caught the attention of the little girl and she joined in. This was not planned. But the pictures were so cute.
He gets all the girls!!!
His job following that was even more interesting. This time we went on a very long car ride to who knows where Korea. Usually Miss Sue, the agent drives us to the shoot in her red van, in case you are wondering, and then calls a cab to take you home. Anyway so we get to the shoot which was in this huge studio/warehouse with no heat! Sue had us sit in the van for about a half hour while they tried to get the heat on in the building. When we were finally told to go in it was still freezing and I had to undress poor Rhyon in the freezing cold to get his outfit on. Well as I have said before this whole industry is a crazy thing. He didn't fit in the one outfit he was there to model! He literally busted the buttons on the jumpsuit thing they tried putting him in. They got lucky that day though since the other lady we were with had a 9 month old girl who fit into the outfit. Her son, who they had also hired for the shoot, modeled all the stuff that would have fit Rhyon. They hired 2 kids the same gender and same size for the one shoot. They must have thought Rhyon was smaller since he was younger.
So Miss Sue called us a cab but it took it like 2 and a half hours to get there, I am not sure why. In the mean time the kids played around in the studio, Sue ordered lunch for everyone and they took pictures of the other kids. We got paid for a half day shoot, instead of the whole day since Rhyon didn't model. I took some cute pictures of the kids in the studio, so it wasn't a total bust. We haven't been modeling since, but that's OK. Once in a while is fine with us. And I still don't have any prints from Rhyon's first shoot back in October.
A view of the studio. It was huge.
There was a little school area set up. Rhyon was being such a good model for me.
My beautiful Giu Giu.
I am biased, but those kids are really darn cute!
Someone brought a dog to the set. The kids loved him.
Giulianna was all about the dog. She misses our dogs a lot!
Now for some updated info about Giulianna too! Well she is loving school. She made Valentines for all the kids in her class, for her Valentine exchange. She has gotten better with numbers and can even add small amounts now. She loves show and tell and the letter of the week. Giulianna is always singing something. This week she learned "Jesus Loves Me" at Church School and spent the next few days singing "Yes, Jesus loves me" over and over. Her life is a musical, she sings all the time. Giulianna loves to annoy her brother, especially by taking toys out of his hands and then making him scream and chase her around. She has been really into her art kit lately and her drawing skills have greatly improved! She even colors mostly inside the lines now.
Who needs toys when you can stack soda cans?!
Enjoying some time outside on the playground.
Just being her cute self!
Above are a few short videos of the kids just being themselves. Listen for Rhyon talking in the tub video. I hope you enjoy these. I am so sorry it took me a month to get this post up. I have been crocheting to much! I will write soon, so much to still catch up on....
